LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1, 2022 – Three Square Food Bank’s annual Holiday Match Challenge has returned for its 13th year. Thanks to the campaign’s matching sponsors, Three Square can double the impact of donations made through the end of the year, providing more meals to Southern Nevadans struggling with hunger.

Backing the 2022 Holiday Match Challenge are local businesses and community leaders, including Boyd Gaming Corporation, Nevada Gold Mines operated by Barrick, Bentley Las Vegas, Gene Haas Foundation and Intermountain Healthcare.

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 27, 2022 Southern Nevada came through in a big way during Hunger Action Month this past September, helping raise a record-breaking $673,066 for Three Square Food Bank. As a result, the nonprofit will provide 2,019,198 meals to food-insecure residents.

The support allows Three Square to continue its fight against hunger, which remains above pre-pandemic levels. More than 341,000 individuals – or one in seven – are unable to access enough nutritious food to live healthy, active lives.

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 22, 2022 Brian Burton, President & CEO of Three Square Food Bank, has announced that he will leave his position with the organization on Sept. 30, 2022.

A steady fixture in the Southern Nevada nonprofit community and leader of Three Square Food Bank for the past 11 years, Burton plans to depart Three Square and Nevada to continue his work battling food insecurity in his home state at the Arkansas Foodbank.

“Southern Nevada will forever be my second home and I’m proud of the work that we as an organization, and furthermore we as an entire community, have done to help our neighbors,” said Burton. “This was not an easy decision by any means, but I am looking forward to this next chapter and returning to my roots in Arkansas to support and uplift the wonderful people throughout the state.”
