Las Vegas Restaurant Week Breaks Pre-Pandemic Numbers with Support of Culinary Community and Thousands of Patrons
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 8, 2023 – Three Square Food Bank announced today a total of $221,449 was raised during Las Vegas Restaurant Week, equating to 664,347 meals, which will be provided for more than 274,000 food-insecure valley residents.
More than 6 million meals have been provided for those facing food insecurity through Las Vegas Restaurant Week since 2007. This year, the 12-day epicurean event welcomed 57 first-time participants, bringing the total number of participating restaurants and foodservice businesses to 232, and a total of 49,746 patrons supported the cause.
“Las Vegas Restaurant Week truly makes a difference for thousands of food-insecure households across Southern Nevada,” said Beth Martino, Three Square president and CEO. “Everyone deserves to have access to nutritious meals, and we are incredibly thankful for the world-class restaurants and thousands of people who have contributed to our mission of ending hunger during Las Vegas Restaurant Week.”
From June 5-16, participating restaurants across the valley offered three-course prix-fixe menus at price points ranging from $20 to $80 with $4, $5 or $6 from each cover donated to Three Square. Special promotions were also offered by participating foodservice businesses with a fixed portion of proceeds donated. Furthermore, 70 restaurants and foodservice businesses extended their participation in Las Vegas Restaurant Week through June 23.
This year’s top Las Vegas Restaurant Week earners in the restaurant category include Amalfi by Bobby Flay, Golden Steer Steakhouse and Mon Ami Gabi, with honorable mentions including Alexxa’s, Benihana at Westgate Resort, Buddy V’s Ristorante and estiatorio Milos. Flight Club, Freed’s Bakery and The Coffee Class were top earners in the Special Promotion category. Bolstering the impact of this year’s event included Tito’s Handmade Vodka, serving as the official sponsor of Las Vegas Restaurant Week 2023.
One in eight Southern Nevadans struggle with hunger, which includes nearly 94,000 children (or one in six).
