Andy Kao is the franchisee operator of Slater’s 50/50 in Las Vegas, Nevada, a local favorite known for its creative burgers and excessive use of bacon. With multiple locations across the Las Vegas valley, Slater’s 50/50 has earned several "Best of" awards, including “Best Beer List,” “Best Burger,” and “Best Family Friendly Restaurant.” In 2021, the restaurant's secret Whale Burger won the Netflix original series Fresh, Fried, and Crispy

Andy started his career at the Front Desk of a small timeshare resort and grew to lead the Quality Assurance team at Wynn Resorts by the time he graduated college.  Following his time at Wynn, Andy served as Corporate Director of Business Intelligence for Boyd Gaming Corporation, overseeing financial planning and analysis for two dozen casino resorts and hundreds of restaurants across the United States. During his time at Boyd, Andy also played a key role in several major acquisitions and divestitures, including Aliante, Borgata, Cannery, and Pinnacle Entertainment’s spinoff. 

In addition to his work at Slater’s 50/50, Andy serves on the Board of Trustees for the Nevada Employee Savings Trust, a state-facilitated IRA program that expands Nevadans' access to retirement plans. 

Andy is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earning three Bachelor of Science degrees in Hospitality Management, and a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Master of Business Administration.
