LAS VEGAS, Aug. 29, 2024 – With the help of Southern Nevada’s local community, Three Square Food Bank will continue its fight against food insecurity throughout September during Hunger Action Month.
“It’s incredible that so many individuals and organizations in the community are joining our mission of ending hunger in Southern Nevada during Hunger Action Month,” said Beth Martino, President and CEO of Three Square Food Bank. “The number of hungry neighbors in our community is devastating, and we hope that throughout September, we can continue to raise awareness and funds in an effort to decrease food insecurity.”
Southern Nevada residents can support Three Square during Hunger Action Month by participating in the following:
Community-wide Virtual Food Drive
Throughout the month of September, those in a position to donate can contribute to Three Square’s Community-wide Virtual Food Drive by visiting www.threesquare.org/donate. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit’s efforts to combat food insecurity. For every dollar donated, Three Square can provide up to three meals for a neighbor in need.

Albertsons and Vons Hunger Action Month Donation Drive, Sept. 1-30
Albertsons and Vons are teaming up with Three Square Food Bank this September to make an impact on food insecurity in the valley. From Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, customers can donate directly to the food bank at any local Albertsons and Vons checkout line using the pin pad.
The Forum Shops Dine with a Purpose, Sept. 1-30
During the month of September, when patrons dine at participating restaurants at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Three Square Food Bank.
This year’s participating restaurants include Joe's Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab, Sushi Roku, The Palm Las Vegas, True Food Kitchen, Carmine's Family Style Italian Restaurant, RPM Italian, Water Grill, and Café Lola. Nevada Public Radio Fall Membership Campaign, Sept. 9-20
Nevada Public Radio’s 2024 Fall Membership Campaign will take place in September, giving members the option to donate meals to Three Square in lieu of receiving traditional “thank you” gifts when they make their pledge of membership support.
MGM Resorts International will fund the value of all meals designated to Three Square during the fall drive.
New Season Launch Event at Hugo Boss, Sept. 13-14
Join Hugo Boss for their new season launch event at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase the latest fashions while supporting the fight against hunger in Southern Nevada. A percentage of proceeds will benefit Three Square Food Bank. Mix 94.1’s 4 Corners Food Drive, Sept. 23-27
Mix 94.1 is once again participating for Hunger Action Month with the return of the 4 Corners Food Drive on Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27. From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., radio station KMXB-94.1 FM will participate in the live, multi-day fundraising event – complete with prizes, storytelling and special guest interviews – to raise funds for Three Square and the fight against hunger.
The 4 Corners Food Drive contributed more than 221,000 meals in 2023. Community members can tune in to Mix 94.1 on Sept. 23-27 and show their support by visiting www.threesquare.org/4corners or by bidding on auction items at www.threesquare.org/4cornersauction.
KOMP Radiothon, Sept. 30
On Sept. 30, KOMP 92.3 The Rock Station will host its annual Hunger Action Month Radiothon benefiting Three Square. Listeners can tune in to KOMP and support Three Square by visiting www.threesquare.org/ham.
The Giving Pump, Sept. 2 - Oct. 31
Fill up for a good cause at the Giving Pump! From Sept. 2 through Oct. 31, fill up at the Giving Pump – which consists of specially marked colorful purple pumps at participating Shell stations across Las Vegas – and a portion of the fill-up will be donated to Three Square. During September and throughout the year, local businesses and groups such as Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas and Freyboy Art Salon give back by partnering with Three Square to host events and offer unique promotions that benefit the nonprofit. The 2024 Feeding America Map the Meal Gap study revealed food insecurity remains a top issue for many struggling families in Nevada. Currently there are 341,480 – or one in seven – food-insecure individuals in Southern Nevada. The study also shows that 22% of children in Southern Nevada – or one in five, which equates to 115,520 – are living in food-insecure households.
